AMoD - Abandoned, Museums of Design

Australian Museum of Design AMOD LOVED THEN ABANDONED Tiles with feet

LOVED THEN ABANDONED

Throughout the world there are thousands of Abandoned Buildings. Explorers from organised Urbex Groups or as individuals, explore these buildings which are often hiding in plain site.

A museum lives in many places.

We call every abandoned building a museum, for the life that was lived within it, and the memorabilia that has been left behind.

AMoD is a place where explorers from around the world, can send their photo’s of the designs they find in wallpapers, fabrics and tiles, and our goal is to catalogue and preserve as many of them and record them for future generations to see and enjoy.

Do you have photo’s from Abandoned Buildings with designs that you’d like to send to us?

Urban Explorer and AMoD Director, Sacha Yasumoto has exquisitely photographed some of Hong Kong’s abandoned buildings to preserve history and share it with the world.

In her book, Sacha has selected some of the most interesting Abandoned Buildings and captured what has been left behind by the people who once lived there. The stories she shares will captivate you and your imagination.

It is one of the most unique and interesting books published of Abandoned Buildings and the designs and stories left behind.
