Florence Broadhurst ‘Egrets’

‘Egrets’ by Florence Broadhurst has been reimagined for limited edition artwork by the Australian Museum of Design. This art piece features a repeating motif of two egrets in the centre, surrounded by a variety of stylised floral patterns and foliage. The egrets are depicted in a dynamic posture; one is perched and looking upward while the other is in flight. These birds are interconnected with ornate, curling branches that wind through the composition. Additional elements like flowers and a butterfly contribute to the organic and lively feel of the pattern, giving it a striking and elegant contrast.
